James River Cellars’ Tasting Room is open 7 days a week!
Monday - SATURDAY 11:00AM - 7:00PM
SUNDAY 11:00AM - 6:00PM
Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. In cases of severe weather, please call the winery to check hours of operation, or visit our social media pages.

Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs or blankets and find a space on our lawns. Reservations are not required for regular visits, and guests are welcome anytime during business hours to enjoy wine flights or wine by the glass or bottle. Visitors are not permitted to stay on our property after hours.
Please note that last call is 30 minutes prior to closing, every day.
For special occasions or large groups looking to plan an event or gathering, advance bookings are required. Please contact us by submitting an event inquiry or email for availability — Winery@JamesRiverCellars.com.
WINE Samplings:
wine Tasting = $16 - includes a tasting of 8 wines, AND A WINE glass.
Week day tastings will be available at the Tasting Room bar for walk up tasting service. Please note, tastings may not be offered every day or on weekends. Tastings occur at the bar and are guided by a staff member. Tastings options are predetermined.
wine flight = $16 - includes a tasting of 4 wines.
Flights are available daily. You can choose from preset flights or create your own from our wine list. Flights are self guided tastings that you take to your table. Wine glasses are sold separately.
